The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation affirmed that it will not impose any fines on the persons whose regular or temporary work permits expired on the first of April and for a period of three months (the end of June), to facilitate the workers and companies affected by the precautionary and preventive measures to limit the spread of the new Coronavirus (Covid-19) ).
Pakistani passengers traveling on visit/tourist visas on the flights of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) and flydubai on Oct 13 were denied entry to UAE as they were unable present the ‘minimum required fund’ (Dhs2000)
The move is an implementation of the UAE Cabinet resolution, under which work permits for Golden Residency holders were created. The Human Resources Ministry stated that such work permits are required in three cases.
Earlier, Bahrain suspended the entry of travellers coming from the countries listed on the red list, namely India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal, on all flights from May 24, 2021.
