This was announced through the "Direct Line" programme on Sharjah Broadcasting Authority, saying that the Ruler of Sharjah, has approved 31 scholarships for Emirati students, in addition to 2 scholarships for two students of residents working in Sharjah govt bodies.
Medal was conferred on Sharjah Ruler for his support to scientific institutions around the world.
Sheikh Sultan visited the pavilion of the Emirates School Foundation, Sharjah Education Council, Sharjah Private Education Authority, and the MoE, where he was familiarised with means and tools of teaching children, in addition to the various educational publications provided by authorities.
The Sheikh Sultan Award for Celebrating the “Spirit of Youth” has extended the deadline of submission to Nov.30, in a bid to allow more young people from all backgrounds and nationalities residing in the UAE to participate. Hundreds of entry forms have poured in since registration opened in early February this year.
Dr Sheikh Sultan approved a number of new projects that the ALA will work to implement in coordination with partners from institutions concerned with the Arabic language from different countries of the world.
Dr Sheikh Sultan stressed that the current and future projects in the Emirate of Sharjah in general, and in the Central Region in particular, have many positive returns and benefits for the region and its people.
The mosque can accommodate 425 worshippers, including 390 for men, and an attached prayer room for women that can accommodate (35) women. The building is inspired by a modern architectural style, and it consists of a dome of a circular shape, and its minaret rises to more than 22 metres.
Sheikh Sultan honoured the winners of the 3rd cycle of the ICCROM-Sharjah Award for Good Practices in Cultural Heritage Conservation and Management in the Arab Region; and the 2nd cycle of the Arab Cultural Heritage Award for the Young.
After the swearing-in, the Sharjah Ruler exchanged with the new chairmen talks about important issues related to the roles of municipal councils in following up citizens’ affairs and the needs of cities and regions, and their coordination with government agencies to meet the needs of citizens.
