The activity was organised by the Ministry of Community Development, in cooperation with Rawafed Development and Learning Centre and the ERC's Dubai Branch.
The Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) has organised the second group wedding for 200 couples in 11 Yemeni Governorates, as part of the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, to hold a series of weddings which will benefit 2,200 young people.
The beneficiaries expressed their appreciation to the UAE and the ERC delegation, praising the country's leadership for standing with Sudan. They also wished the UAE and its people further progress and prosperity.
The projects include the restoration of the Kidney Treatment Centre in Khyber Teaching Hospital Peshawar, which received ten kidney dialysis machines and other medical equipment, and the Institute of Kidney Diseases Hayatabad Peshawar, which received six dialysis machines.
The UAE, represented by its humanitarian arm, the Emirates Red Crescent, ERC, has sent an aid convoy carrying more than 221 tonnes of foodstuffs necessary for the relief of residents of Daw'an district
The UAE’s Ramadan campaign will also distribute 100,000 food parcels, including 10,000 parcels to Dhale, 20,000 to the Red Sea Coast, 10,000 to Taiz, 10,000 to Lahej, 25,000 to Aden, 5,000 to Byan, 10,000 to Hadramaut, and 10,000 to Shabwa. It will also fund the construction of 500 water tanks to provide clean water to the country’s liberated governorates.
Five thousand people across the western neighborhouds of Mukalla received the aid, as part of the UAE’s efforts to improve living conditions in Yemen.
