The UAE will today (Monday) start receiving residents with valid residence visas, who were stranded abroad due to coronavirus pandemic from various countries.
The ICA explained that the website "smartservices.ica.gov.ae" which has been allocated for issuing resident entry permits witnessed great pressure immediately after the announcement of the initiative from those who were willing to return to the UAE.
In exceptional cases of human distress, serious illness, death in the family, pregnancy and parents flying in with children below 10 years of age, receiving states shall assess the situation and may permit home quarantine for the entire 14 days.
“This period may be reduced to seven days in some cases such as professions in vital sectors or for those who came from low risk countries,” NCEMA added.
