In an unprecedented cultural initiative in the history of Arabic culture, the Sharjah Book Authority (SBA) will hold the Sharjah Virtual Reading Festival (SVRF) for 10 days, running from May 27 to June 5, 2020.
The second panel discussion, ‘The Basics of Writing Short Films’, will host Fadi Haddad, a music video and movies director, who will offer expert advice on the fundamentals of writing short film scripts. He will also address the challenges often faced by aspiring script writers. The session will be hosted by Zaina Khaled.
Children are getting used to the new normal where the coronavirus is concerned. Gone are the days when they could prepare for the day at school – seeing that they looked prim and proper, their outfit neat and well-ironed, shoes polished and hair neatly combed.
Focusing on the importance of reading, learning, and researching skills for students, the programme is being held virtually via Microsoft Teams, allowing children across the emirate to participate in all activities and events.
Sheikha Bodour engaged with the children who participated in the workshop and joined their activity, who on their part enthusiastically expressed their joy to share their drawings, creativity, and love for art and reading.
