Twelve new Coronavirus 2019 drive-thru screening centers formally opened to the public across the seven emirates on Sunday morning to complement the services of several others in Abu Dhabi and Dubai.
During his visit, Sheikh Khalid was briefed by Salem Al Noaimi, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Health Services Company, SEHA, on the contribution of the drive-through testing facilities in the nation’s response to the global pandemic.
The new centre opens at a time when the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development (ADDED) has encouraged all commercial and industrial companies to ensure their employees are tested.
The Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (Seha) obtained 402 blood plasma units from donors who recovered from the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), which were used to treat 247 infected patients until the end of May 2020.
The Department of Dhafra Hospitals affiliated to the Abu Dhabi Health Services Company “Seha” opens today “Monday” the screening centre for covid-19 in Madinat Zayed, next to Madinat Zayed Council in Al Dhafra Region. The centre’s daily capacity reaches up to 300 people.
Several hotels and one school across Abu Dhabi have contributed 1,030 rooms to Ma’an’s "Together We Are Good" programme to accommodate doctors, nurses, and other medical professionals and support staff working on the frontline.
In line with the directive of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the United Arab Emirates Armed Forces, Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (SEHA), the UAE’s largest healthcare network, has established three field hospitals in the UAE as it continues to play an integral role on the frontlines of the nation’s efforts to combat the COVID-19 pandemic.
The National Screening Centres will now operate on Fridays and Saturdays and operating hours will be expanded by the Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (SEHA), has announced that to be from 10 AM to 8 PM, in order to increase testing capacity.
