The news of traffic accidents in the first 10 days of Ramadan in which three people were killed and 34 injured is indeed painful (“3 dead, 34 injured in separate accidents in Dubai in first 10 days of Ramadan,” April 15, Gulf Today website).
I don’t know why some motorists don’t follow traffic rules. What is wrong with them? Traffic rules are made for our safety and benefits. They made us to remain safe. Little conscious efforts can help everyone. I am shocked to read this
The Deputy Director of the Traffic and Patrols Department stressed that the police leaderships in the UAE are uniting their security efforts to maintain the safety and security of drivers and pedestrians on the roads.
Colonel Jumaa Salem Bin Suwaidan, Acting Director of the General Directorate of Traffic at Dubai Police, said the accidents happened due to violations of traffic laws.
