RTA has announced that it would open this May Saih Al-Dahal Road Improvement Project which links Saih Al-Salam Road with the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park.
Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority’s announcement of completion of 60 to 70 per cent roads extension is good news for people of Dubai and the United Arab Emirates (“RTA completes 60-70% of internal roads extending 34.4 km in Dubai,” July 17, Gulf Today website).
Dr Eng Mohammed Bin Omair Al Muhairi, Executive Director of the Engineering Affairs Sector at the Municipality and Planning Department in Ajman has revealed the implementation of new road projects within the infrastructure development plans in the emirate, at a total cost of Dhs233 million.
Over 95 per cent of residents satisfied with the quality of the road networks and infrastructure in the city.
The Ministry of Infrastructure Development is implementing the construction and development of 5 road projects in the northern emirates, at a total cost of Dhs634 million. The new projects are scheduled to be completed during 2020.
As part of its strategic plan, the Ministry of Infrastructure Development is working on developing and upgrading efficiency of two roads in the emirates of Sharjah and Ajman, at a total cost of Dhs131.5 million,
The newly constructed road has been widened from three to six lanes in the direction of Al Ain. The sector, which extends 8km, starts from Bu Kadra Junction to the junction of Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road with Dubai-Al Ain Road.
"The project serves Al Quoz 2, between Al Khail Road and Meydan Road. It involves the construction of a network of main roads extending 16km along with associated infrastructure works," said Mattar Mohammed Al Tayer.
The project, which extends eight kilometres along Ras Al Khor Road, runs from the intersection of the Dubai-Al Ain Road to the junction of Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road.
