Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah; Sheikh Abdullah Bin Salem Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah; and Sheikh Sultan Bin Ahmed Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, were present at the reception.
His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, issued an Emiri Decree on promoting and appointing the Director General for Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority (SEWA).
The celebrations will start in Mileiha and continue to the central cities, the Eastern Region and Al Hamriyah, concluding at Sharjah National Park, he added, pointing out that the committee is keen to hold the events on a sequential basis, so the public can attend them all.
The decree stipulates that Salem Omar Salem shall be appointed as Executive Director of Sharjah Book Authority, as of the date of the decree's publication.
The Ruler of Sharjah’s court extends its sincere condolences and sympathy to Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed, the Al Nahyan family, asking Allah Almighty to grant the deceased eternal peace in Paradise and the people of the UAE patience and solace.
He also dealt with the history of the Authority since its establishment and its follow-up to all implemented programmes professionally, shedding light on various cultural and family programmes of Sharjah's entities.
The Eid prayer was attended also by, Sheikh Mohammed Bin Saud Al Qasimi, Head of the Central Finance Department, Sheikh Khalid Bin Abdullah Al Qasimi, Head of the Department of Seaports and Customs, Sheikh Salem bin Abdul Rahman Al Qasimi, Head of the Ruler’s Office, Sheikh Saud Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Director of the Sharjah Digital Office, and a number of Sheikhs, Abdul Rahman Bin Muhammad Al Owais, Minister of Health and Community Protection, and heads of local and federal departments and institutions.
His Highness graced the silver jubilee celebrations of the university, during which he received a certificate of 'distinguished professor' in literature, humanities and social sciences from Sheikh Sultan Bin Ahmed.
Emiri Decree No. (44) stipulated that the name of "Sharjah General Department of Civil Defence" shall be replaced with "Sharjah Civil Defence Authority", wherever it appears in the legislation and all administrative, financial, legal and other matters.
