This step comes in implementation of the directives of His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, aimed at providing a stable and decent life for the citizens.
“The total number of retirees who are not of the local staff in the Emirate of Sharjah reached 9,866 retirees, including groups whose monthly income is less than Dhs17,500, so we must raise it to Dhs17,500,” Sheikh Sultan said.
Sheikh Sultan called on farmers to cooperate with Sharjah government in developing and maintaining their farms and establishing specialised farms, stressing that he will provide the necessary support for electricity and water services at reduced prices.
Dr Sheikh Sultan noted that there are also other cases of retirement, which are those with chronic diseases, where the government pays the remaining amounts to the Sharjah Social Security Fund so that they can retire, as well as people who lack competence and can no longer contribute.
His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has issued several Emiri Decrees establishing the Wasit Suburb Council, Muwaileh Suburb Council and Al Suyoh Suburb Council in Sharjah.
Emiri Decree No.5 of 2023 stipulates that the general organisational structure of Sharjah Municipality attached to the decree shall be approved, provided that the Executive Council shall issue relevant decisions as follows:
According to the decree, the SRTIP "Free Zone Authority" will be managed by a board of directors, which will be formed by a decision of the President of the American University of Sharjah (AUS), after the approval of the university's Board of Trustees.
This includes 545 positions in the Sharjah Police, 50 positions each in the University of Kalba and the University of Al Dhaid, and 30 positions each in the Initiatives Implementation Authority projects in Kalba, Al Nuzha pasture in Madam, and the scarf pasture in Al Dhaid.
