The second historic elections for 25 seats of the Sharjah Consultative Council (SCC) will begin on Sept.1 with registration for the Electoral College membership and conclude on Dec.11 with announcement of the winners.
Eng. Hind Al Hashemi, Director of the General Services Department at the Sharjah Department of Public Works pointed out that this project will contribute towards creating an attractive environment for investment and a place that encourages work and living.
His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, received the United States Ambassador to the UAE, John Rakolta Jr., on Thursday, in the presence of Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah.
The decision comes in line with the UAE's constant efforts to support the preventive and precautionary measures that contain the spread of the COVID-19, aiming to ensure the health and safety of all citizens and residents.
The winners are Sarah Al Saeid from the College of Arts and Sciences; Ahmed Muhammad Zameer from the College of Engineering; Manaswi Madichetty from the School of Business Administration; and Sarah Al-Dulaimmi from the College of Architecture, Arts and Design.
