Values of tolerance continue to dominate public events and activities in the UAE as part of relentless efforts to promote cross cultural and religious interactions, as well as dialogue
Sheikh Mohammed said on Twitter, “As the #UAE's Year of Tolerance soon ends, today we honoured the teams & heroes working within fields of tolerance. A prime model of our continuation of Zayed's legacy in tolerance, entrenching the UAE as a global inspiration in humanity, is @MohamedBinZayed.”
This came during the virtual press conference organised by the Ministry of Tolerance on Wednesday, where the launch of the innovative competition was officially announced in partnership with the social networking platform, Twitter, for all the youth of the Arab world.
The trees spelt out the word ‘Tolerance’ in Arabic and English and were brought over from EAD’s native plant nursery in Baynounah, Al Dhafrah region.
To promote, integrate and encourage efforts in social responsibility and environmental conservation during 2019 – designated the ‘Year of Tolerance’ – in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), the Environment Agency - Abu Dhabi (EAD) will celebrate the values of tolerance, coexistence and diversity under the theme ‘Tolerance with Nature’, exemplifying the role of the Ghaf tree as a historic and cultural symbol of stability and peace in the UAE’s desert environment.
