A specialised crew from the Search and Rescue Department at Ras Al Khaimah Police rescued three tourists of different nationalities, who lost their way in the Wadi Naqab area while they were hiking in a very rugged location at the highest altitude of the area.
Along with him are three Americans, one of whom was with him when they reached Mount Everest peak, last year.
The tourist suffered fatigue during a mountain trip and could not come down.
Police cooperated with the National Search and Rescue Center to save the woman and provide necessary medical care.
The team transferred them by helicopter to a nearby hospital for treatment. The head of the family sustained minor injuries.
The authorities swung into action after receiving a report stating that a person sustained injuries in a mountainous area, which is difficult to reach by ambulances.
The rescue team located the injured man within 20 minutes. The person suffered a fracture in his foot while climbing the mountain. He was immediately treated with first aid at the site and airlifted to Saqr Hospital in Ras Al Khaimah.
