Although police on Wednesday night arrested the two accused, but BJP state President Satish Poonia still questioned Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on the "deteriorating" law and order in state.
A 26-year-old British-Pakistani woman, who recently returned to Lahore to attend her father's funeral, was allegedly raped by a close family friend in the city’s Wahdat Colony area, a local media reported on Wednesday.
The victim has claimed that the accused first came into contact with her 8 years ago, after which she accepted his proposal for marriage in June last year. The accused then went on to force her into a physical relationship, later fleeing on April 27 with her money.
On her Facebook page, Pori Moni, addressed a post to PM, asking for justice as a citizen of Bangladesh. She has filed a case against businessman Nasiruddin Mahmud and five other individuals alleging that they attempted to rape and murder her.
"There was a lot of people, in my opinion, that should have intervened; somebody should have done something," Bernhardt said. "It speaks to where we are in society; I mean, who would allow something like that to take place? So it’s troubling."
Authorities say a man charged with raping a woman on a commuter train just outside of Philadelphia harassed her for more than 40 minutes while multiple people held up their phones to seemingly record the assault without intervening
"The suspect, identified as Kashif, was in a car. He kidnapped the woman at gunpoint and took her to an empty plot near the Chaman Bypass,” the investigation officer said. He raped and beat her up multiple times and then fled from the crime scene.

"We have amended the criminal law, and decided that the chemical castration clause will be taken out," Maleeka Bukhari, parliamentary secretary on law, told a news conference in Islamabad on Friday.
Doctors examining her found that she was nine months pregnant and she delivered a baby girl the same day. The hospital informed police and questioned the girl. She named a 12-year-old boy who lived in the same neighbourhood.
