Sharjah Police launch “Your valuables is Your responsibility” campaign to educate drivers in particular and members of society in general, to safeguard their belongings and not leave them in vehicles.
The Abu Dhabi Integrated Transport Centre (ITC) activated the long awaited ‘Darb’ tollgate system from the early hours of Jan.2 to ease traffic flow in the emirate.
They were also fined Dhs50,000, while their driving licences were suspended for six months and their vehicles were confiscated for sale at an auction, provided that the price would be used in repairing the public roads that were damaged by the defendants.
Abu Dhabi Police urged motorists to drive safely during unstable weather predicted across the country in the coming days. Motorists have been urged to reduce speed limit to 80km/h and maintain safe distance.
Abu Dhabi Police has issued an awareness video wherein they have advised motorists to halt or slow down at every pedestrian crossings.
The winds will be light to moderate southeasterly, becoming northwesterly and northeasterly winds, freshening at times during daytime, with a speed of 10-25 reaching 40km/hr. The sea will be slight in the Arabian Gulf and in Oman Sea.
