Dr Sheikh Sultan approved a number of new projects that the ALA will work to implement in coordination with partners from institutions concerned with the Arabic language from different countries of the world.
Sheikh Sultan honoured the winners of the 3rd cycle of the ICCROM-Sharjah Award for Good Practices in Cultural Heritage Conservation and Management in the Arab Region; and the 2nd cycle of the Arab Cultural Heritage Award for the Young.
His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah inspected the new air-conditioned corridors project connecting all university buildings, including colleges, laboratories, the library, the restaurant hall, and others.
After the swearing-in, the Sharjah Ruler exchanged with the new chairmen talks about important issues related to the roles of municipal councils in following up citizens’ affairs and the needs of cities and regions, and their coordination with government agencies to meet the needs of citizens.
Dr Sheikh Sultan welcomed the company's visit, praising the fruitful cooperation between the company and the Emirate of Sharjah in energy projects and investments.

During the meeting, Sheikh Sultan directed the introduction of some new courses for students within the academy’s curricula, within the framework of introducing Arab culture, theatre and local affairs, with a focus on five academic courses that include..
“Language serves as the foundation of our identity, shaping our religion and beliefs, and thus, these research efforts should not be viewed as a cultural luxury, but as a fundamental aspect of our lives.”
The Ruler of Sharjah welcomed the Chairman of the Omani Shura Council and his delegation, pointing to the deep-rooted and historical ties between the two countries, stressing the depth of social relations that unite the two brotherly peoples.
