Sharjah calling

The much-awaited Sharjah International Book Fair (SIBF) began on Wednesday, bringing together book lovers, authors and literary enthusiasts from across the world. It is wonderful to see readers navigating through the numerous stalls, exploring different genres and searching for their favourite authors. I make it a point to attend the fair almost every day. Apart from buying books, I look forward to listening to my favourite authors and discovering new literary voices. Authors from across the world come to SIBF, and I am sure this year will be no different. I have already prepared my list of events and sessions that I plan to attend. Listening to beautiful minds is an experience to remember. I have been attending SIBF for almost 20 years. I first started visiting the fair when I was in school, and now my association with it has become even more special. For me, SIBF is not just an annual literary event; it is an emotional connection, a celebration of learning and a reminder of how books can shape our lives.
