The 13th edition of the Sharjah International Film Festival for Children and Youth (SIFF), organised by FANN - Media Discovery Platform, hosted the Middle East premiere of the Thai film “Gohan,” marking the opening of the festival's Green Carpet screenings at VOX Cinemas, City Centre Al Zahia. The screening attracted a strong audience turnout, with all tickets sold out.
Co-directed by Chabapob Boonweerakob, Baz Poonpiriya and Aat Hemaweadee, the film follows a stray white dog whose life unfolds over more than a decade through his relationships with three different people.
Each leaves a lasting impression on him, from the warmth of his first home to his time with a young housekeeper and later an art student who teaches him the meaning of love.
Through unexpected encounters, farewells and lasting memories, the film explores love, loyalty and the bond between humans and animals.
Meanwhile, Rubu' Qarn Foundation for Creating Leaders and Innovators organised a series of interactive workshops as part of the festival, bringing together film industry experts and professionals to introduce children and young people to different aspects of filmmaking and help them develop their creative skills.

Held at the Foundation's platform at City Centre Al Zahia, the workshops included "Film Production Management: Breaking Down Call Sheets and Developing a Daily Shooting Schedule," led by trainer Moamen Al Qaraan, which introduced participants to the basics of film production planning.
