Skincare reviews are not as authentic as before, especially these beauty influencers utilised methods which feel illegal.
Beauty influencers have done really silly ways to promote a product including wasting huge amounts of the product, using face filters or makeup, reading PR-revised scripts, and reinforcing useless trends.
These methods make a review less authentic and useful, including that most of them do not use scientifically backed-up evidence from journal articles to prove that this product provides benefits to your skin and how.
The only people that can be trusted on social media are certified dermatologists, and if they were to put their certifications, because they were studied on how certain acids react to different skin types. Moreover, they debunk trendsetting products with evidence, which I find better, coming from a background where I have to use journal articles in my study.
In a summary of everything I wrote, please do not follow skincare trends, they do not suit everyone’s skin.
