Awareness campaign

People across the Emirates should pay attention to the Dubai Police pedestrian safety campaign and avoid crossing roads unsafely, as doing so can lead to disastrous consequences (“Dubai Police launch pedestrian safety campaign, warn of Dhs400 fine for unsafe crossing,” Oct.23, Gulf Today website).

According to the report, Dubai Police launched an awareness campaign across police station jurisdictions in the emirate to promote pedestrian safety, encourage responsible road behaviour and reduce traffic accidents.

It is commendable that the Dubai Police are educating people about pedestrian safety and encouraging them to act responsibly. This initiative will undoubtedly make a significant difference in preventing road mishaps and reducing tragic accidents.

People must obey traffic laws when travelling on the roads to keep themselves and others safe from accidents.
