Important visit

Chinese President Xi Jinping’s visit to Washington has raised hopes for economic stability, as both leaders are looking for more business opportunities despite their deep underlying rivalry (“Trump welcomes Xi to Washington looking for a trade win,” Sept.24, Gulf Today website).

There is no doubt that the United States of America is the world’s only superpower, and it has a greater responsibility to take steps towards economic stability. Such efforts would not only help make America great again but also benefit the world.

I hope that a sense of peace and friendship will prevail during the high-level meeting between US President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping. The world needs peace and economic stability. I am sure that sincere efforts by both presidents will make a huge difference and prove fruitful for the whole world.
