According to the report, the United Arab Emirates and the Republic of Colombia announced on September 20, 2026, the arrival in the country of humanitarian aid provided by the UAE in response to the earthquake that struck the national territory. This shipment is made under the USD 10 million in urgent humanitarian assistance announced by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, in the days following the disaster.

The world should follow the UAE’s excellent humanitarian example and play its part in making the lives of the Colombian people better. I am sure this time shall pass. Colombia is coping with the aftermath of the earthquake disaster that struck the country on August 10, 2026.
