Definitely Dubai

I love flying in and out of Dubai International Airport. There is something special about being at the airport – the excitement of travel, the movement of passengers, the boarding gates, immigration counters and security checks all create a unique experience for me. Every time I use the airport, I notice something new or different.

The changes over the years have made the entire travel experience smoother, faster and, in many ways, cooler. I remember starting to use Dubai International Airport in 2007. Nearly two decades later, in 2026, the airport has changed tremendously.

During this summer break, while returning from New Delhi, I was particularly impressed. I could come out of the airport in just 15 minutes. From landing to completing the necessary procedures and leaving the airport, the process felt remarkably quick. The Smart Gate is another incredible innovation for passengers. It has made immigration procedures much more convenient, especially for frequent travellers.

I recently read in “Gulf Today,” that the General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs, Dubai, has introduced the “Click & Travel” service at Dubai International Airport. The initiative is another significant step towards enhancing the travel experience and simplifying passenger procedures.
