Hats off to the leadership of the United Arab Emirates, which continues to provide urgent humanitarian assistance to those affected by the floods and landslides in Nepal that have left dozens dead, injured, or missing and caused extensive damage (“Third UAE aid plane arrives in Kathmandu to assist Nepal flood victims,” Sept.4, Gulf Today website).

According to the report, the third UAE relief plane arrived in the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal carrying a search and rescue team, as part of the UAE’s ongoing efforts to provide urgent humanitarian assistance to those affected by floods and landslides that have left dozens dead, injured or missing and caused extensive damage.

There’s no doubt that it’s a tough time for our Nepalese brothers and sisters. But this time shall pass. It’s not only a testing time for the Nepalese people but also for the whole world, which should play its vital role in helping the Nepalese government and its people deal with natural disasters.

The world should come together, following the exemplary humanitarian work being done by the United Arab Emirates, and help vulnerable people in Nepal.
