It’s so unfortunate that pedestrians risk their lives by crossing busy roads, violating traffic laws, and putting other lives in danger as well (“Abu Dhabi Police urge pedestrians to use designated crossings,” Aug.21, Gulf Today website).
According to the report, The Directorate General of Traffic and Patrols at Abu Dhabi Police has urged pedestrians to follow safe road-crossing practices and use designated pedestrian crossings, bridges and tunnels to protect themselves and other road users.
Pedestrians should pay attention to the report that surfaced in print and social media, in which Abu Dhabi Police urged pedestrians to use designated crossings and avoid any ill-fated incidents on the roads and highways.
