Deadly war

It’s so unfortunate that more than four years of war between Russia and Ukraine are not showing any sign of ending. The report that surfaced in print and on social media that a Ukrainian drone strike killed 12 people and wounded 39 in Russia shows the bleak future of the world (“Ukraine drone strike kills 12, wounds 39 in Russia,” Aug.10, Gulf Today website).

According to the report, a Ukrainian drone strike on the central Russian region of Tatarstan killed at least 12 people in one of Kyiv’s most deadly single attacks of the more than four-year war.

The world is going through its hardest time. Different wars between nations in different parts of the world only produce destruction, the loss of precious lives, and economic meltdown. Despite the fact that there are deadly disputes between the warring parties, the use of force is not the solution to any problem. Honest and meaningful dialogue is the only way forward to solve long-disputed matters between nations.

The need of the hour is to start meaningful dialogue to solve the disputed issues among warring countries. I hope the sense of peace prevails among warring countries in the world. Peaceful relationships among countries are the guarantee of a prosperous world.
