Climate change is the biggest challenge the world is facing at the present time, which is alarming and a threat to the whole world.

According to the report, the UN agency said in a report that there was an 81% chance of a very strong El Nino event, with sea surface temperatures at their warmest levels since at least 1982 and potentially making it the strongest such event since 1950. Meanwhile, the chief economist of the ⁠United Nations Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) said that the world is on the verge of another bout of food inflation as wars in Iran and Ukraine along with El Nino create a perfect storm of higher costs and lower crop yields.

Climate change has gripped the world slowly and gradually with its disasters. Scorching heat, unusually heavy rains, forest fires, and flooding in different parts of the world are making headlines on a daily basis.

The recent World Food Programme report regarding a powerful El Niño weather event that could push nearly 49 million additional people into acute food insecurity across some of the world’s most vulnerable regions by the end of next year, is alarming and needs to be addressed.

The world should unite and map out a strategy to fight climate change because global warming is disastrous not only for one country but also for the whole world.
