It is indeed sad that many Pakistani senior cricketers of yesteryears have publicly criticised specific players of their team and also the entire squad. What is their fault? Just because they lost a T20 match on 15 February to India? This must have been very demoralising for the Pakistan team.
Cricket is a game. One team wins, the other loses. Fine. So what? It is not that the losing team has played poorly. It is just that on the appointed day, another team played better. A loss in a game, is not a personal reflection on any particular player. Nobody likes to lose; but it happens sometimes. So, it is bad taste to censure your team just because it has lost a match. This is the time to inspire the players and build their self-confidence for the balance tournament. Lamentable. Very.
