Being an ardent fan of Test Cricket, it is really shocking and shameful that our Test team was walloped by the South African team, ably led from the front by its captain Temba Bavuma, whose success rate is phenomenal so far.
Hats off to the South African team, especially their bowlers ably led by Harmer & Jenson, who hammered our team. Our spinners proved to be novice as Harmer got more purchase than our hyped spinners.
The humiliating defeats at Kolkatta and Gauhati, where our batsmen could not even cross 200 in 3 innings, except 201 at Gauhati, is a real slap on the faces of our captains, coach and most importantly the selection committee for selecting T-20 players for Test cricket.
If they have any shame, they should voluntarily quit their posts and allow the Cricket Board to revamp the Test squad, purely based on performances on the field. Ironically, our Captain Pant feel that this loss is little disappointing. It is not so, it is a total humiliating captain and coach! Wake up BCCI!
