All are heroes

Absolutely there is no doubt that the entire women in blue squad and even the support staff have toiled during the past four years to fulfil the dreams of every Indian of winning the ICC Women's World Cup, which has been eluding for the past 50+ years.

The entire squad richly deserve all the accolades and the cash rewards. Here I wish to point out that the cash rich BCCI has been gracious enough to sanction Rs.51 crores to the players and the support staff, which is really laudable.

At the same time, some of the state governments, who too felicitate players from their state too have rewarded their players with cash awards of Rs.1 crore to Rs.2.25 crores each.

As in the case of the generosity exhibited by the Captain Harmanpreet Kaur, by allowing our past women captains to lift the World Cup, the amount paid by state governments should also be pooled together and distributed among the squad.
