Kudos to our T-20 men in blue for their victory over the World Champion team Australia @ Gold Coast to take an unassailable lead of 2-1 and to go for the series victory at Brisbane.
Though it was a patchy performance by our batsmen, our bowlers stepped upon a tricky wicket to win the 4th match to have a better chance to win the series. As usual, our Vice-captain, Subhman Gill proved to be a true Test class player and is blocking the chances of dynamic openers like Sanju Samson and Jaiswal.
To be frank, after the retirement of Rohit Sharma & Virat Kohli, who opened and played at No.3 respectively, is sorely missed. Ironically, Tilak Varma had shown promise @ No.3, but is yet to get a permanent slot.
Thankfully, Axer Patel has filled the void created by the retirement of Jadeja, who also quit the T-20 version along with Rohit & Kohli. Washington Sunder is another bowler, who should be utilised more as a bowler. Similar is the case with our top T-20 wicket taking bowler, Arshadeep Singh, who should be encouraged.
