While the fate of our men in blue match against Australia was sealed at Perth, within the first power play, it was an unfortunate loss to our women in blue at Indore against the England team. Both the teams lost mainly due to the poor selection policy of our think tank. While it was a stupid decision to leave out Bumrah for the ODI series, the omission of Jemimah Rodrigues proved to be costly for the women in blue.
She was playing better than Deol. In fact the way our bowlers bowled on a flat wicket, we thought the England team would set a stiff target of 300+. But thanks to Deepti Sharma, who put a break on their progress to restrict them to a total of 288. Though both our Captain and Vice-captain came to the party, both failed to complete their task. Like the matches against South Africa, Australia, this match too proved to be a slip between the cup and the lip.
