It’s a prime responsibility of parents to play their vital role educating their children values, care for others, respect for elders and humanity during their upbringing.
Human behaviour plays a crucial role in shaping the quality of our communities and societies. In recent times, we have witnessed growing impatience, intolerance, and a lack of empathy in everyday interactions. To improve human behaviour, we must start by fostering emotional intelligence, empathy, and ethical values from an early age.
Education systems should go beyond academics and actively teach social and emotional skills. Schools can incorporate programmes on kindness, conflict resolution, and respect for diversity. When children learn how to manage emotions and understand others' perspectives, they grow into more responsible adults.
Moreover, role models — whether parents, teachers, public figures, or influencers — must lead by example. Respect, honesty, and accountability should be visible in their actions, not just their words. The media also has a duty to promote positive behaviour by highlighting stories of compassion, cooperation, and social responsibility.
Another powerful way to shape behaviour is through community involvement. Volunteering, civic engagement, and working toward shared goals help people develop a sense of connection and purpose. When individuals feel valued and included, they are more likely to treat others with respect and kindness.
Improving human behaviour is a collective effort. Through education, positive role models, community engagement, and responsible media, we can build a more thoughtful, respectful, and harmonious society.
