Laudable verdict

No one has the right to take the law into his or her own hands to get their disputed matter settled (“Greengrocer jailed, fined Dhs10,000 in Dubai stabbing case,” Oct.2, Gulf Today website).
The Dubai Court of Appeal’s decision to uphold the initial ruling that sentenced an Asian greengrocer to one month in prison, a fine of Dhs10,000 and deportation upon completion of his sentence is highly laudable.
