We refer to the statement of our T-20 MIB Captain, Suryakumar “stop calling this a rivalry” is an uncalled for one. No doubt, of late, our team is performing better and are able to win more matches.
But they should know that they are playing against a depleted Pakistan team, Babar Azam, Muhammad Rizwan and their pace spearhead Naseem Shah, who alongwith Shaheen Shah Afridi, could be dangerous to any top order batsmen. Moreover, in a game of sports, only one team could win.
In fact, even during the last match against Pakistan, they could chase the stiff target only due to the dropped catches by Pakistan players.
Of course, as on date our team is better than any other team participating in the Asia Cup Tournament and we do appreciate the confidence of our team.
But overconfidence could prove to be a bane, especially if we happen to meet Pakistan in the finals next Sunday. Beware!
