People are becoming more self-obsessed and lonely. Technologies and digital discoveries like phones and internet have made more people self-involved and lonelier.
People are happy to spend time on keyboards, rather than building associations with each other. In human relationships, a person can get upset or hurt. However keyboards do not hurt a person emotionally, except that the eyesight can suffer.
As a result of becoming more isolated, people are also shrinking from leadership positions. We are happy to tick likes, comment, criticise or cast blame. However, very few of us wish to sit at the steering wheel.
Leadership is an essential ingredient of any society. Without robust and enlightened leadership, there can be no progress or achievement.
Leadership also means being ambitious and striving for difficult goals. Unless everyone takes leadership for his lane, colony or town, we will gradually evolve into a society of armchair critics, not result deliverers.
