Beginning of a new era

The ongoing US Open Women’s semi-final clashes, between World No.1 Aryna Sabalenka and Jessica Pegula and Naomi Osaka vs Amanda Anisimova were real thrillers and both these matches went the distance to decide the winners.

However, the Men’s semi-finals between the GOAT Novak Djokavic vs Carlos Alcaraz and Sinner vs Félix Auger-Aliassime proved to be one-sided. It seems Novak Djokovic has passed his prime and his legs are tired to move from corner to corner.

Earlier tough matches seem to have taken his energy. We feel, still he has another chance at the Australian Open 2026 to set a new record of 25 Grand Slam trophies by a player — both in Men’s & Women’s finals.

Anyway the Federer-Nadal-Djokovic era has passed its prime and it is going to be a new Alcaraz & Sinner era in the coming years. Hope to see a thrilling final at Flushing Meadows. Let the best on that day lift the trophies.
