The autobiography of actor Al Pacino, “Sonny Boy: A Memoir” is an unqualified extravagance to read. He is one of the finest actors of our times. His roles in the Godfather trilogy have been adored and rewarded universally. His portrayal as the new Godfather in the first film was stunning and riveting. His book is alternatively intense and hilarious. As an actor he has a brilliant sense of timing. In his book, he shows his talent as a storyteller.
The book is also full of intuitions into the various roles that he played and how he prepared for them. So, acting students can garner many lessons from his book.
