Deadly war

The world has to admit that the US President Donald Trump has made sincere efforts to get warring countries to the negotiating table. But the Russian President Vladimir Putin has an upper hand in the deadly war, occupied some Ukrainian land, wants negotiations on his terms and conditions while Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky keeps defending his stance on Russian aggression (“Russia rejects Zelensky’s meeting with Putin,” Aug.23, Gulf Today website).

The ruthless war between Russia and Ukraine which is claiming precious human lives on a daily basis, and costing unbearable economic losses to both the countries must come to an end. I hope the sense of peace will prevail and Russia and Ukraine find a way forward to end the war as soon as possible.
