Heavy rainfall

Floods and heavy rainfall claimed more than 12 people in the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (“UAE expresses solidarity with Vietnam,” Aug.5, gulf Today website).

According to the report, the United Arab Emirates has expressed its solidarity with the Socialist Republic of Vietnam over the dozens of deaths, injuries, and missing people which resulted from floods caused by heavy rainfall. In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) expressed its sincere condolences and solidarity with the families of the victims, as well as to the government and people of Vietnam, along with its wishes for a speedy recovery for all the injured.

Climate change has now become the true threat to the existence of the world. Unusual heavy rain in different parts of the world, wildfires, tsunami, scorching heat and flooding are making headlines in print and social media day by day.
