After the shocking knock out punch of Gill and his boys at Edgbaston Test, Stokes and his boys seems to have forgotten their “Bazball” game to return to their old grinding like Geoffrey Boycott.
But for the supreme grit and determination of Joe Root, who rooted to the crease to knock an unbeaten 99 on Day 1 of Lords Test, the Indian bowlers would have lorded over the Englishmen at Lords. It was a pathetic and patient knock by the entire team to close day one at 251 for 4 in 85 overs, which is far below their "Bazball" rate of 6 per over.
We are confident that our bowlers would strike early on Day 2 to bowl out them for a score of below 335. Well, Cricket being a game of uncertainty, anything is possible @ Lords.
