Spinning option

This refers to the statement of Assistant Coach Doeshate that two spinners may play at the Edgbaston Test. Of course this is a welcome move, though it is painful that one of the debutantes, Sai Sudharshan or Karun Nair, may fail to get another chance to revive. The second drop should be Shardul Thakur, who was just a pedestrian at Leeds.

Washington Sunder is an apt replacement for Thakur and Kuldeep Yadav in place of Karun Nair, the unlucky cricketer. Anyway, let us hope that our spinners will do the job at Edgbaston Test and try to square the series one all. Wishing Gill and his boys the best at Edgbaston.
