Although the sun is getting brighter during these summer days its obvious that we head out of town for holidays but I cease the plan right away when the latest news struck my attention with the latest happenings so didn't want to take a menace. For my last annual leave this year, I chose a two-week staycation right here in the UAE — a chance to slow down, recharge, and relish the little things I often overlook. Whilst I jot this down, I reminisce the time I had to wake up early, get ready for work, pack my tiffin, drive through the daily traffic snarls at times even sprint to take the metro.
My Mornings begin peacefully with some light yoga and stretching by the window, followed by quiet meditation. It’s become my daily ritual that helps me center myself before the world wakes up. With the summer heat intense, I’ve embraced staying indoors — diving into books, journaling, and reflecting with doing some indoor works as many find my apartment a home sweet home. This is my time that is helping me reconnect with myself in a way travel often doesn’t.
This staycation is getting less about doing and more about being — soothing, simple, and deeply nourishing. I am finding glee in silence, music, movement, and moments of sweetness. Sometimes, the best journeys are the ones that take you inward.
