What happened in Ahmedabad on June 12, was very disturbing. The entire nation was in the state of mourning. In fact, the entire world was in the state of shock. Accident do happen and it is inevitable. It can not be avoided. No body does mistake purposely and that's why it is called an accident. I am still in the state of shock. My heart goes out to all those families and their relatives. But I think more safety equipment needs to be added in the aircraft.
I remember years ago, I was flying to New Delhi from Sharjah and the moment I landed at the New Delhi airport, I got the news that a flight at Mangaluru airport got crashed. I could not move an inch at the airport after seeing the news. It was very painful experience for me. All my happiness of going back to home vanished in few seconds. It took weeks for me to move from that incident. I can imagine happy faces of passengers of AI 171. They were flying thinking of reaching at the destination, meeting their loved ones in London and elsewhere. I read somewhere that one of the Bollywood actress had to go for counselling after seeing the incident on television. It is devastating experience for human beings. Unfortunately it is beyond our control. All airlines work very hard for the safety of their passengers but still such thing happens. I hope it does not happen again anywhere in the world.
