Good action

It’s a good action taken by the Dubai Police’s General Department of Traffic to fine 12,019 vehicles since early this year for making unauthorised modifications that cause excessive noise and disturbances (“Dubai Police fine 12,000 vehicles for causing noise, unauthorised modifications to engines,” Nov.23, Gulf Today website).

The unauthorised modifications to engines by vehicle owners are a clear violation of traffic rules. Why is the fitness of a vehicle so important? Because it plays a huge role in a healthy environment which is guaranteed for the good mental and physical health of residents of the country.

It is so important that people should follow the standards of vehicle fitness which are implemented by the RTA otherwise the authority has the full right to reward them with handsome fines so they will be careful in the future.
