The Covid-19 pandemic has given us an alternative mode of entertainment like OTT platforms. We now get to watch lots of amazing web series on different OTT platforms. Earlier we only had Bollywood films and we would wait for films to be released. But with the onset of OTT platforms, we have unlimited options. We can watch interesting stories now by sitting at our home or travelling.  We can pick and choose. It is also incredible to see so much of talent that has come to the fore on the OTT platforms. So many young, talented and unknown writers, filmmakers, lyricists and technicians have started exhibiting their talent through this medium.  Who can forget series like, “The Family Man,” “Kota Factory,”  “Aspirants,” “Jamtara,” “Panchayat,” and “Maharani?” I was moved to watch “Aspirants” and “Panchayat.” We have so many talented people who can entertain us but they were just waiting for the right opportunity. OTT platforms have also broken the hegemony of corporates. Now small-time filmmakers can also find space to share their creativity and can tell stories.
