The unwavering humanitarian support by the United Arab Emirates to its Palestinian brothers and sisters at their tough time is highly commendable and praiseworthy (“Second UAE aid ship carrying 4,544 tonnes of humanitarian aid for Gaza arrives at Al Arish Port,” Feb.18, Gulf Today website).

According to the report, the second UAE aid ship carrying 4,544 tonnes of humanitarian supplies arrived at the Port of Al Arish in preparation for its entry into the Gaza Strip, as part of Operation “Gallant Knight 3”, launched by the UAE under the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan to support the Palestinian people.

The arrival of the ship was witnessed by Dr Sultan Bin Saif Al Neyadi, Minister of State for Youth Affairs; Mariam Khalifa Al Kaabi, UAE Ambassador to the Arab Republic of Egypt; Rashid Mubarak Al Mansouri, Secretary-General of Emirates Red Crescent; and Major General Dr. Mohamed Abdel Fadil Shousha, Governor of North Sinai.

Vulnerable Gaza people need humanitarian aid more than ever as they are going through the horrifying time of their life. A UAE ship full of humanitarian aid reached the Port of Al Arish for Gaza people which will make a huge difference and bring smiles and happiness on the faces of Gaza people.

I would like to appreciate the continued support to the people of Palestine by the leadership of the United Arab Emirates, which is a memorable gesture.
