The humanitarian response plan for Sudan requires $2.56 billion.

The war between Sudan Army and paramilitary forces still continues and thousands of Sudanese people have fled to neighbouring countries to get a safe shelter (“UN, humanitarian partners seek $3 billion for Sudan crisis-related relief,” May 18, Gulf Today website).

According to the report, the UN and its humanitarian partners seek $3 billion in relief for victims of the Sudan crisis, a UN spokesman said.

The aid sought is for the millions of people needing help in Sudan and the thousands of people who fled to neighbouring countries, said Stephane Dujarric, the chief spokesman for UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, on Wednesday. “The humanitarian response plan for Sudan has been revised and requires $2.56 billion, that’s an increase from $800 million from just a few months ago, to help 18 million people until the end of this year, making it the largest appeal ever for Sudan,” Dujarric added. People from war-torn Sudan are looking for humanitarian aid and it’s the responsibility of the world to help innocent Sudanese people in their hard time. The United Arab Emirates is the first country to send a huge humanitarian aid to the brotherly country Sudan to help Sudanese brothers and sisters in their difficult time.

I hope the world will pay attention to the statement by Stephane Dujarric that UN, humanitarian partners seek $3 billion for Sudan crisis-related relief and be a helping hand for United Nations and humanitarian partners.
