The great work done by the Abu Dhabi Police in seizing 2.25 million Captagon tablets in fruit boxes and arresting a gang of three people who will face the criminal proceedings has to be appreciated (“Abu Dhabi Police seize 2.25 million Captagon tablets in fruit boxes,” May 10, Gulf Today website).

According to the report, the Abu Dhabi Police General Command arrested a gang of 3 people who tried to smuggle 2.25 million tablets of the drug Captagon and hide them inside boxes containing dried apricot fruits, before proceeding to smuggle them to a neighbouring country.

Brigadier General Taher Gharib Al Dhaheri, Director of the Anti-Narcotics Directorate in the Criminal Security Sector at Abu Dhabi Police, revealed that the operation was crowned with success after implementing a tight security plan to track the movements of the suspects in coordination with the competent authorities in the UAE.

Abu Dhabi Police is one the best police forces in the world who have the capability to bust any kind of criminal activity in the country.

Smuggling drugs is a serious crime in the United Arab Emirates. People who think they can do criminal activities and get away with it are living in a fool’s world. Criminal people have no place in the United Arab Emirates to hide so they should be prepared to face the law of the country.
