Shooting rampage has become a daily routine in the United States of America where innocent people are being victims, losing their precious lives for no reason (“Nine dead after shooting rampage at Texas mall,” May 7, Gulf Today website).

It’s so painful that almost on a daily basis the news of shootings in which a number of innocent people are being killed are making headlines all over the world.

According to the report, a man went on a rampage at a Texas outlet mall on Saturday, shooting dead eight people and wounding several others before he was killed by a police officer at the busy shopping complex.

Video footage circulating online showed the shooter getting out of a sedan in the mall’s parking lot before opening fire on people walking nearby.

It’s so shocking that according to the Gun Violence Archive as of May 1, at least 13,959 people have died from gun violence in the US this year including teens and children, which is an average of roughly 115 deaths each day.

To control gun violence and ensure the safety and security of the common people in the USA, it’s so important to take serious action against the criminals and bring them to justice.

I am sure the government of the United States of America will do the needful and amend the gun laws of the country to control the criminal activity which spreads uncertainty and horror in society.
